## Description

The New Zealand Curling Association (NZCA) is the national governing body for curling, a Winter Olympic sport, in New Zealand. Its mission is to grow participation and improve international performance in the Olympic-style game while preserving and developing the country’s distinctive outdoor “crampit” tradition. The association supports curling across modern and traditional formats, with opportunities for people of different ages and abilities to take part. Activities include local and secondary-school leagues, club competitions, outdoor curling, local tournaments, and national championships. The NZCA also provides information about international events, New Zealand teams, representative and club selection, registrations, health and safety, and the national curling calendar. Its website covers the history and spirit of the sport, where to curl, clubs and councils, and the rules and traditions of indoor and outdoor play. Competitions span a range of categories, including men’s, women’s, mixed, junior, senior, and mixed doubles events. Through these resources and events, the NZCA connects players, clubs, schools, and communities with curling throughout New Zealand.
