## Description

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) is Nigeria’s national customs authority, responsible for supporting trade and managing the movement of goods across the country’s borders. Its stated priorities include revenue collection, trade facilitation, border protection, anti-smuggling, and compliance, guided by principles such as justice and honesty. The Service also works with development partners and other agencies to improve coordination across the supply chain, while pursuing modernization through technology, research, and data analytics.

The NCS provides digital services and information for importers, exporters, manufacturers, travellers, licensed agents, shippers, and other stakeholders. Its online offerings include the B’Odogwu Nigeria Trade Portal, customs verification for vehicles, advance rulings on pre-import tariff classification, e-currency declaration forms, licence and permit services, an Authorized Economic Operator program, and online auctions of seized goods. The website also provides tariff guidance, import and export procedures, excise information, exchange rates, and recruitment updates. Through these resources, the NCS aims to make customs processes more transparent, organized, and efficient while strengthening border security.
