## Description

The Polish Cutmen Association is a professional organisation founded in 2020 to develop amateur and professional striking sports in Poland and raise standards of athlete care in combat sports. It brings together experienced cutmen who work at major fight events in Poland and internationally, and collaborates with leading Polish combat-sports federations.

The Association provides qualified cutmen for fight events and trains new specialists. Its members prepare athletes’ hands before bouts, including professional taping to protect bones, joints and soft tissues. They also prepare equipment and workstations in line with applicable standards, assist with pre-fight checks, and apply petroleum jelly to designated areas of the face. Between rounds, cutmen help control bleeding, reduce swelling and address other injuries so athletes can continue safely when appropriate. They work under intense time pressure and coordinate with event doctors and medical staff, especially when serious injuries or knockouts occur.

Through its services, training and professional community, the Association aims to improve safety and bring cutman practice in Poland in line with international standards.
