## Description

CV De Meerpoel is a carnival association based in Someren-Dorp, Netherlands. Founded on 1 July 1964, it is the oldest carnival association in Someren-Dorp and has grown into a lively community club. Its guiding motto, “We celebrate carnival together,” reflects its focus on shared festivities, conviviality and social involvement.

The association organises activities throughout the carnival season, including celebrations, performances, a prince’s ball, the ceremonial key handover and events for young people. Its programme is supported by a prince and princess, adjudants, a board, a Council of Eleven, a brass band and other groups. A youth section gives children in the final years of primary school the chance to take part through a youth prince or princess, youth adjudant and youth council.

People can join CV De Meerpoel as members, while supporters can contribute through Club 111 to help keep carnival alive in Someren. The association shares news, event information, photographs and updates through its website and social media channels.
