## Description

The Chronic Wasting Disease Alliance is a wildlife conservation initiative formed in January 2002 by the Boone and Crockett Club, Mule Deer Foundation, and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, with other organizations joining over time. Its mission is to promote responsible, accurate communication about chronic wasting disease (CWD) and support strategies to control the disease and reduce its effects on wild, free-ranging deer, elk, and moose. The Alliance provides educational resources for the public and hunters, including an overview of CWD, frequently asked questions, a timeline, research information, management strategies, videos, and photographic examples. Visitors can also access North American maps showing CWD reports, related hunting regulations, and state and provincial carcass import rules, along with links to relevant agencies and external resources. The site shares recent CWD news and offers recommendations for hunters. The Alliance states that it and its partner organizations are committed to providing timely, scientifically accurate information about the disease, its impacts on wildlife and humans, and approaches to control.
