## Description

The Civil War Round Table of the Mid-Ohio Valley is an educational organization based in Marietta, Ohio, dedicated to exploring the Civil War and related American history. It brings the public together for presentations by historians, authors, educators, and other knowledgeable speakers. Topics have included military campaigns, political debates, emancipation, women’s experiences, African American history, local history, and the Underground Railroad. The organization’s meetings are open to everyone, with no required membership dues or admission fees; voluntary donations help cover meeting costs.

Alongside its regular programs, the Round Table organizes field trips to historic sites and battlefields, hosts community events such as History in the Park, and supports historical marker dedications and preservation. Its calendar and past-program archive help visitors discover upcoming presentations and explore previous subjects and presenters. The group also shares information through newsletters and related educational resources. By offering accessible events and varied historical programming, the Civil War Round Table encourages learning and public engagement with the history of the Mid-Ohio Valley and the nation.
