## Description

Canterbury Weather Updates (CWU) is a regional weather information service focused on Canterbury, New Zealand. It provides forecasts and practical weather resources for communities across the region, from Christchurch, Rangiora and Timaru to the Mackenzie Country, Banks Peninsula and high-country settlements. Its coverage includes town-specific forecasts, regional outlooks, lake and alpine-road conditions, popular climbs, national parks and ski fields.

The service shares current conditions, daily highs and lows, interactive weather maps, weather-station data, webcams, rain radar and New Zealand satellite imagery. Forecasts explain expected conditions and changes in temperature, wind, cloud, rain and snow, with updates prepared by the CWU Forecasting Team. CWU also publishes local weather warnings and a live weather feed, helping users understand potential impacts and plan ahead. Membership provides access to more detailed, exclusive forecasts and warnings, while a newsletter offers another way to receive updates. Canterbury Weather Updates also invites businesses to advertise on its platform.
