The Cyprus Interaction Lab (CIL) is an interdisciplinary research lab specializing in Educational Technology and Human Computer Interaction. Founded in 2011 by Panayiotis Zaphiris and Andri Ioannou, CIL is the first of its kind in Cyprus and is known for its high-quality research and facilities. With a focus on designing with people and the community in mind, their goal is to produce research that has real-world impact.

CIL's research revolves around two main pillars: Technology Enhanced Learning & Skills Development, and UX, LX Design & Social Innovation. They aim to understand the role of technology in promoting learning, communication, collaboration, social innovation, and inclusion in various circumstances and contexts. Furthermore, CIL is interested in facilitating digital transformation and capacity building within organizations.

As a center of excellence in Educational Technology and HCI, CIL fosters interdisciplinary research and collaboration between industry, academia, and research organizations. They offer the MSc Interaction Design program and organize the HCII Affiliated Conference on Learning and Collaboration Technologies. In addition, CIL has a close partnership with the Interactive Media, Education, and Edutainment Research Group of the CYENS Centre of Excellence.
