## Description

Cystic Fibrosis Australia (CFA) is the national peak consumer body representing Australians living with cystic fibrosis (CF). The organisation works to ensure the community’s experiences and needs are heard by government, health and community sectors. Its activities include advocacy, collaboration, research support and partnerships, alongside opportunities for people with CF, families and supporters to connect and participate.

CFA leads the national research program through the Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust (ACFRT), administering funding for research into CF treatments and a cure. The organisation also shares research news, funded projects, grant opportunities, information about the drug development pipeline and a clinical trial finder. Its resources cover CF causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, genetic testing, therapies, health and wellness, and living with the condition.
