## Description

CIRA 🇨🇦, the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, is a unique organization in Canada that plays a pivotal role in managing the country's internet landscape. Recognizing the importance of domain names in navigating the web, a small group of volunteers formed CIRA to ensure that Canada had its own address. Led by John Demco, a former Computing Facilities Manager, they built the platform from scratch and collaborated with government and industry stakeholders to create a dynamic registry. Today, CIRA offers a range of products and services that contribute to a safer and more connected internet for all Canadians. They provide .CA domain registrations, cybersecurity solutions like DNS Firewall and Cybersecurity Awareness Training, and initiatives such as Net Good Grants and the Community Investment Program. As the registry of .CA domains, CIRA strives to protect the integrity of the internet, empowering individuals to achieve their economic, social, and cultural goals. Join CIRA in building a better internet and shaping Canada's digital future.
