## Description

DADD is a professional division of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) serving people and professionals in the field of autism and developmental disabilities. Its work emphasizes the use of evidence-based practices and encourages professionals to avoid approaches that have been disproven or lack scientific support. DADD supports its community through professional resources, publications, learning opportunities, and opportunities to connect and participate.

Its publications include Education and Training in Autism and Developmental Disabilities (ETADD), the DADD Online Journal, DADD Express, and FOCUS on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities. Professional development offerings include webinars, recorded webinars, an Encore Series, an annual conference, and a summer symposium. The division also recognizes achievement and service through awards for educators, researchers, students, and advocates.

Members can participate in the CECommunity all-member forum, volunteer, join individual or group memberships, and access pathways for engagement. DADD shares statements and resources on issues affecting its field and invites supporters to contribute through donations. Its annual conference brings together the community for professional learning and connection.
