## Description

DAECPU (Directors Associated with Popular Carnival Shows of Uruguay) is an organization dedicated to Uruguay’s popular carnival and the groups, performances, and traditions that shape it. Its official media platform keeps audiences informed about carnival news, events, and competition results, while celebrating the cultural importance of music, candombe, and community festivities.

The website shares admission schedules, regulations, ticket-pass announcements, jury updates, and information about the Official Carnival Competition. It also features coverage of performances at the Teatro de Verano, popular tablados, the Liguilla, and the Rueda de Triunfadores, including photographs, videos, and award results. Visitors can explore information about carnival categories such as murga, parodistas, humorists, and societies of negros and lubolos, as well as historical resources, a documentation center, a library, and an exhibition space.
