## Description

Daem is an independent nonprofit scientific association known as the Deutsche Akademie für Ernährungsmedizin (DAEM). Their main goal is to implement and strengthen nutrition medicine in practical medicine through medical education and further training. With the alarming rise in nutrition-related diseases in our society, the negative impacts of inadequate nutritional prevention and therapy have become evident. To address the lack of nutritional knowledge among healthcare professionals, DAEM was established in 1983. DAEM offers a range of products and services to fulfill its mission. They provide comprehensive continuing medical education and training programs, including 100-hour courses, case seminars, and specialized seminars in nutrition medicine. Their seminar bookings and schedules are available on their website. DAEM also collaborates with various healthcare organizations and links to promote nutrition medicine. Additionally, they publish a newsletter, Der Ernährungsmediziner, and maintain a blog with up-to-date information and insights from research and practice. With a focus on improving patient care and preventing nutrition-related diseases, DAEM is dedicated to the advancement of nutrition medicine through education and collaboration.
