## Description

Drug Abuse Foundation is an organization focused on helping people find the support and services they need to change their lives. Its mission emphasizes teamwork, responsive and cost-effective care, and meeting challenges with faith rather than fear. The foundation organizes its work into prevention, group intervention, crisis, medical and psychiatric clinic, and treatment services. It also offers classes and support groups for families, including resources for loved ones of people who use opioids, and shares information about naloxone (Narcan). Its peer and alumni unit draws on the contributions of people with lived experience. The organization connects with clients and community partners through online portals and provides information about news, events, and a monthly newsletter. People can get involved through employment, internships, or volunteering, and support the foundation through donations, bequests, capital campaigns, and Chris Evert Charities. The foundation also makes its campus auditorium available for rental. Together, these programs and opportunities reflect its aim to provide a coordinated range of support for individuals, families, and partners.
