## Description

The Dalhousie Community Association (DCA) is a community organization serving the people who live and work in Dalhousie, northwest Calgary. Based at the Dalhousie Community Centre, the association aims to enhance local quality of life by creating opportunities for participation, connection and learning. Its programs include out-of-school care, preschool, school-break and summer day camps, youth soccer, music and theatre activities, seniors’ gatherings, tennis, pickleball, yoga and cycling classes. The DCA also hosts community events such as farmers’ markets, concerts, craft markets and family activities, and shares information on local initiatives and neighbourhood planning. Residents can get involved through volunteering, community gardening, membership and other association activities. For private and community events, the centre offers rooms and facilities for rent, including an auditorium, meeting rooms, a dance studio and a kitchen. These spaces can accommodate occasions and activities such as weddings, parties, markets, workshops, fitness classes and camps. Through its programs, events, facility rentals and community resources, the DCA provides a welcoming place for Dalhousie residents to meet, take part and contribute to neighbourhood life.
