## Description

Dalkey Scubadivers (DSD), founded in 1976, is a vibrant recreational scuba diving club based at Dun Laoghaire Marina, County Dublin. Affiliated with the Irish Underwater Council, DSD caters to both novice and experienced divers, promoting safety and enjoyment in the underwater world. With approximately 40 enthusiastic members, the club has successfully trained over 1,000 divers, supported by a team of dedicated instructors.

DSD organizes diving activities throughout the year, with summer dives taking place on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings, focusing on local attractions like Dalkey Island and its surrounding wrecks. In winter, members enjoy snorkelling sessions at Coliemore Harbour. The club promotes community engagement by hosting events such as a charity snorkel around Dalkey Island on St. Patrick’s Day and providing rescue cover for sea events.

Members benefit from access to high-speed dive boats, equipment for novices, and a range of training courses. DSD fosters both adventure and camaraderie, making it a welcoming hub for diving enthusiasts.
