With a commitment to artisanal flat breads, we offer a range of mouthwatering products that are sure to satisfy. Our story began in 1930 when our grandfather, Hassan Halaby, opened Damascus Bakery in Brooklyn, New York.

Since then, we have been responsible for producing Middle Eastern Pita and Lavash Breads to feed the local community. Over the years, our father, Anthony Mafoud, and uncle, Henry Halaby, expanded our reach, introducing our Pitas and Lavash to other boroughs of New York and even other cities in America. Today, Damascus Bakeries is known for its innovative approach.

Third-generation bakers, Edward and David Mafoud, have transformed traditional flatbreads into Artisan Wraps, Roll-Ups, and Panini breads. Our products are now sold in all fifty states and even internationally. At Damascus, we prioritize health and quality.

Our facilities are SQF certified and Clean Label certified, ensuring clean baking environments and natural ingredients. We are also proud to be Non-GMO and Non-PHO capable, using only the purest, highest quality ingredients. We even incorporate specialty, nutritious flours such as Flax, Khorasan, and Sprouted Grains.
