## Description

DAMA is a Spanish organisation dedicated to the collective management of rights for audiovisual works. With more than 25 years of experience, it is the country’s only entity specialising in this field and is known for transparency in collecting and distributing royalties. DAMA represents more than 3,600 members and manages remuneration rights for audiovisual authors, including directors and screenwriters, from 40 countries.

The organisation supports members through direct assistance with work registration, royalty statements and rights enquiries, as well as an assistance programme and initiatives offering support for training, family-life balance and career development. It also publishes research to help protect rights and strengthen creators. Beyond rights management, DAMA promotes audiovisual creation through grants, awards and development programmes, including opportunities for short films, screenplays and projects for film, television and documentary. Its activities include talks, screenings, professional meetings and training for screenwriters and directors, with venues and programmes in Madrid and Barcelona.
