Its departments cover dramatic theatre, alternative and puppet theatre, scenography, arts management, drama in education, authorial creativity and pedagogy, and theatre theory and criticism. The faculty also supports research through institutes focused on authorial acting, alternative and puppet theatre, theatre in special-needs groups, and scenic arts.

DAMU offers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral study, with programmes including Authorial Acting, Scenography, and Directing of Devised and Object Theatre.
