# Danube Survey - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `danubesurvey.org` ## Description **Brand Description:** The Joint Danube Survey (JDS) represents the world's most extensive surface-water monitoring initiative, aimed at enhancing the understanding of the Danube River’s health. Established in 2001, JDS provides invaluable data regarding water quality, biological diversity, and the impact of human activities along the river and its tributaries. This initiative operates under the frameworks of the Danube River Protection Convention and the Danube River Basin Management Plan. JDS5, set to commence in mid-2025, promises to build on the achievements of its predecessors by incorporating innovative technologies, including environmental DNA (eDNA) and microplastic assessments. The survey seeks to collect unique data on pollutants and emerging contaminants, harmonizing water quality information across the Danube nations to facilitate effective policymaking. In addition, JDS5 emphasizes public engagement by inviting citizens, students, and communities to actively participate in water protection efforts through citizen science and educational initiatives. Join us on this journey of discovery and action to protect the Danube River and its rich ecosystem. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [youtube](https://youtube.com/user/icpdr) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idAsqqw0m9/w/820/h/364/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1746623599112) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | International Klein Blue | #0325ab | accent | | Black Bean | #010302 | dark | | Anakiwa | #99e3fe | light | ## Fonts - Oswald — asset _(google)_ - Oswald — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
