## Description

DAPG e.V. is a nonprofit academy founded in Bochum in 2008 to advance prevention and health promotion for children and young people. It provides interdisciplinary education for professionals involved in this field, including medical assistants, nutrition specialists, educators, and pediatric nurses. Its teaching brings together scientific knowledge from medicine, psychology, and education, with a practical approach based on evaluated teaching and learning standards.

The academy’s certified pediatric training curriculum offers qualifications in prevention and social pediatrics. Participants can train as prevention assistants or social pediatric assistants, with the curriculum also supporting further professional development in ambulatory medical care. DAPG reports that more than 2,000 healthcare professionals have earned its prevention assistant qualification. It also offers a professional course on climate change and health for medical assistants.

Additional services include day seminars on infant nutrition, youth consultations, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, child safety, and allergy prevention. DAPG develops and delivers these programs in cooperation with professional and public health organizations, helping practitioners build knowledge and skills to support children, young people, and families.
