DAPméd-Africa is a brand committed to improving medication practices in Cameroon and across Sub-Saharan Africa. Acting as a Dictionary for Medical Prescription and Dispensing, DAPméd aims to ensure the rational use of medicines, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO). This involves prescribing the most suitable product, ensuring its timely availability at an affordable price, correct delivery, administration according to the appropriate dosage, and for the appropriate duration.

Currently, there is a lack of a suitable tool to meet these requirements in Cameroon and many other African countries. The ever-growing diversity of pharmaceutical sources makes it challenging for healthcare professionals to access accurate information about drug availability and status. As a result, the quality of patient care and adherence to WHO recommendations are compromised.

To address this urgent need, DAPméd provides an up-to-date contextual solution for healthcare professionals in Cameroon and has the potential for expansion across Sub-Saharan Africa. It offers three main formats: a web application, installable applications for various devices, and print publications.

With a dedicated team, including pharmacists, doctors, and IT professionals, DAPméd ensures the availability of reliable and comprehensive medication information. The project requires an investment of 23,520,000 FCFA but is expected to generate a net profit of 48,220,888 FCFA within the first four years.

DAPméd also provides services such as healthcare audits and advice, IT consulting, project management, website and application development, as well as hosting and search engine optimization.
