## Description

Dark Prospects is a weekend-long live-action role-playing game set in an imagined version of mid-19th-century California, shaped by the people and landscapes of the Gold Rush. The game takes place at Camp Sylvester in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and invites participants to experience a world where mortals live alongside supernatural creatures. Players can portray characters inspired by Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Wraith: The Oblivion, and selected related sourcebooks. Its game system is designed to help players remain in character throughout the weekend, with minimal time spent out of character. Both experienced role-players and newcomers are welcome, and the organizers offer information to help players join the setting. The website supports the community with game introductions, setting and rules wikis, character and gear resources, event registration and check-in tools, and player forums. Dark Prospects is based in the South Bay near San Francisco, California. Because of real-world liability concerns and the game’s themes, participation is limited to adults aged 18 and over.
