## Description

The North Grove is a non-profit community organization based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, serving families and community members in Dartmouth North and beyond. Its Community Food Centre and Family Centre provide welcoming spaces where people of all ages can learn, connect and find support. The organization’s work brings together food, family services and community participation to help people belong and thrive.

Programs include a Community Food Centre and Farm, child and family programming, community action initiatives and volunteer opportunities. Through its food services, The North Grove supports growing, cooking and sharing good food, and operates a subsidized market that distributes produce. Its family programs and services support people at different stages of life, from babies to seniors, while community action programs create opportunities for people to take part in local initiatives.

The North Grove also invites community members to volunteer, donate and stay connected through its newsletter and events. Its work is supported by volunteers, partners and donors, and reflects a commitment to inclusion and respect for the Mi’kmaq people and the wider communities whose histories and contributions are part of Mi’kma’ki.
