## Description

Das finnische Buch is a nonprofit association dedicated to fostering connections with Finland, its people and its culture, while encouraging mutual interest in Finnish and German language and culture. Its work centers on Finnish literature, which it helps bring to a wider audience in Germany through events it organizes or supports. These include readings, talks and opportunities to meet Finnish authors and German translators of Finnish literature. Events are held in German or include translation, so visitors can take part without knowing Finnish.

The association also serves readers and researchers through information about Finnish books and authors. Its website features lists of German translations, book reviews, literary references and links to publishers, bookshops and partner organizations. Visitors can explore past events and award-related material, find information about membership, or subscribe to updates. Alongside sharing new and older books from Finland, Das finnische Buch promotes literature as a way to build cultural bridges and strengthen understanding between Finland and Germany.
