DASC, the Dartmouth Adult Services Centre, is a not-for-profit business and social enterprise dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, dual diagnosis, and other special needs. With over 55 years of service to the Dartmouth community, DASC offers a diverse range of programs and services to nearly 200 individuals each year. In partnership with Nova Scotia’s Department of Community Services, DASC provides various services, including community employment, vocational training, skills development, life enhancement, active lifestyles, recreation and leisure, and youth programs.

These services are designed to promote the well-being and independence of individuals with intellectual disabilities. To sustain their mission, DASC also operates a social enterprise, generating revenue through initiatives such as the rental of modern boardrooms, production of buttons, and business contracts for packaging, assembly, and labeling. These funds enable DASC to continue providing vital services and support to persons with intellectual disabilities.
