DataDENT, also known as Data for Decisions in nutrition, is a brand that has been dedicated to improving the availability and utilization of nutrition data since 2017. With a strong focus on addressing gaps in nutrition measurement and advocating for robust nutrition data systems, DataDENT has successfully worked towards transforming the field of nutrition data. Implemented by four esteemed institutions including the Institute for International Programs at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the International Food Policy Research Institute, Results for Development Institute, and the African Population and Health Research Center, DataDENT collaborates with various data-focused initiatives and institutions worldwide. Notably, it is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In close collaboration with POSHAN-India, DataDENT operates in India, while globally, it works with organizations such as the Micronutrient Data Innovation Alliance, WHO-UNICEF Technical Expert Advisory group on nutrition Monitoring, UNICEF, the World Bank, Improving Measurement and Program Design, Transform Nutrition West Africa, Countdown to 2030, and Alive & Thrive. DataDENT is committed to driving positive change in the domain of nutrition data, making it an invaluable resource in improving public health and well-being.
