About Rep. David LeBoeuf

Description

David LeBoeuf is a trusted community advocate and proven progressive leader in the 17th Worcester District. As a lifelong resident and proud graduate of the district's public schools, David is deeply connected to the community he serves. His diverse background as a small business advisor, family advocate for survivors of domestic violence, and community leader has shaped his commitment to improving access to healthcare and affordable housing.

David's passion for public service started at a young age, organizing classmates to advocate for increased school funding and participating in programs like the U. S. Senate Youth Program.

He continued his dedication through college, interning with government offices and focusing his senior thesis on political participation among Worcester's Liberian and Vietnamese communities. David's commitment to expanding access to healthcare coverage led him to implement an outreach program for the Massachusetts Health Connector, ensuring residents have quality health insurance. He also served on the board of the Latin American Health Alliance, providing substance use recovery services for Latinos.

In addition, David has been a strong advocate for increasing access to affordable housing. As the Central Massachusetts Coordinator for the Campaign to Protect the Affordable Housing Law, he worked on outreach and education efforts to support local, regional, and statewide policies on affordable housing and ending homelessness. David's dedication to affordable housing continued as he served as board president for the Oak Hill Community Development Corporation.

Throughout his career, David has been committed to promoting access to the democratic process. He was appointed director of the Initiative for Engaged Citizenship, where he coordinated voter education efforts and organized candidate forums. He also supported innovation and regional economic development as a program manager at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative.

David's focus on supporting small businesses in underserved communities led him to join the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, where he implemented outreach and selection processes to increase opportunities for small businesses. He also advocated for the participation of veteran-owned and women-owned businesses in the program. In his work as a family advocate, David provided access to justice for survivors of domestic violence.

Through his role at the Worcester Community Connections Coalition, he offered case management and supportive counseling to ensure survivors had proper legal representation. From his early involvement in public service to his current role as State Representative, David LeBoeuf is dedicated to fighting for the causes that matter most to the community. He envisions a Commonwealth where everyone is afforded dignity and respect, and he continues to deliver for the 17th Worcester District, both on Beacon Hill and in the local community
