## Description

The Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies (MDC), established in 1959 and integrated into Tel Aviv University in 1966, is a premier interdisciplinary research institution dedicated to the exploration of the contemporary Middle East and Africa. With a mission to unravel the complexities of these regions, the MDC emphasizes an in-depth understanding of their diverse cultures, languages, and historical contexts. Over the decades, it has garnered a reputation as a critical resource for policymakers and scholars alike, often contributing to meaningful solutions for real-world issues.

The MDC's offerings include a variety of insightful publications, from short analyses to comprehensive books, as well as a diverse array of events and scholarly mentorship programs. Notably, it houses the extensive Arabic Press Archive, one of the largest collections of modern Arabic-language newspapers globally, alongside a rich library of journals, articles, and research materials. The center also features innovative programs, such as the Glazer Media Initiative, delivering valuable insights into Middle Eastern affairs through film and media resources.
