## Description

Dayton Literary Peace Prize is a renowned brand that honors the power of the written word to promote peace. Established in 2006, it is the first and only annual U.S. The awards have two categories: adult fiction and nonfiction, with each winner receiving a significant cash prize of $10,000. The mission of Dayton Literary Peace Prize is to advance peace through literature and support those who write, publish, read, and share literature that promotes peace. They achieve this by recognizing books that emphasize peace, encouraging the reading of winning books through educational outreach, and creating programming that fosters empathy and justice. The nominated works should focus on increasing understanding among individuals, families, communities, nations, ethnic groups, cultures, and religions. They should also have enduring literary value and appeal to a diverse audience. With an esteemed history and international recognition, the Dayton Literary Peace Prize has become a prestigious literary award. It has celebrated notable individuals and emerging writers alike, and its impact extends far beyond the realm of literature. This brand truly embodies the belief that words can be a catalyst for peace and positive change.
