## Description

DBaK, the Girls’ Basketball Club, is a community sports organisation founded in 2012 through the merger of Basketball Club Plzeň and the Girls’ Basketball Club Kožlany-Kralovice. It has the largest girls’ basketball programme in the Plzeň Region, with approximately 170 players ranging from preschool beginners to veteran athletes. Around 20 qualified coaches support development across five introductory programmes, including two designed specifically for preschool children.

The club offers a pathway from youth basketball to senior competition. Its teams regularly take part in Czech national championships and mini-basketball festivals, while girls’ teams compete in top-tier youth leagues, and junior teams play in league and regional competitions. From the 2025/26 season, the U17 team is scheduled to compete in the Czech top division. The women’s A team plays in the second league, while the B team and U23 team represent DBaK in the West Bohemian League.

DBaK also organises annual club training camps in Sušice and Plasy.
