- **Website:** <https://dbce.org>
- **Primary alias:** `dbce.org`

## Description

DBCE, founded by INTERCARGO and RightShip, is dedicated to enhancing safety standards in the dry bulk shipping industry through its innovative DryBMS framework. DBCE's primary goal is to go beyond mere compliance with international safety management codes, aiming instead for operational excellence in safety, security, environmental performance, and social welfare. The DryBMS, developed by industry leaders, offers a structured self-assessment process across four key categories: Performance, People, Plant, and Process, each with varying levels of attainment, from Basic to Excellence.

DBCE actively collaborates with ship owners, managers, and industry organizations to promote best practices and improve overall safety measures at sea. By providing a controlled portal for Document of Compliance (DoC) holders to upload self-assessments and facilitating independent verification by accredited auditors, DBCE ensures transparency and accountability in the industry. Ultimately, through continuous improvement and shared standards, DBCE seeks to significantly reduce maritime incidents and enhance the safety of seafaring for all.
