DBU

DBU is the abbreviated form of Die Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, which translates to the German Federal Environmental Foundation. As one of the largest foundations in Europe, DBU is dedicated to promoting innovative and solution-oriented projects that aim to protect the environment, with a special focus on supporting small and medium-sized businesses. Since its establishment in 1990 and the start of its foundation work in 1991, DBU has provided funding of approximately 1.

97 billion euros to more than 10,600 projects. DBU offers various types of funding, including project funding, support for green startups, promotion of doctoral candidates through the Promotionsstipendium program, and the MOE Fellowship program.
