DC Action is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for the children and youth of the District of Columbia. Recognizing the barriers faced by young people affected by poverty and racism, DC Action unites individuals, parents, and community partners to pursue a shared vision of an inclusive and empowering city for all young residents. By working with policymakers, community leaders, and legislators, DC Action aims to create public policies that support children and youth throughout their journey from early childhood to early adulthood.

The organization prioritizes areas such as racial equity, early childhood, economic justice, education, health and safety, and voting and democracy. DC Action conducts extensive research and analysis to inform its advocacy work, collaborating across sectors to promote systems coordination and reform. In addition, they provide technical assistance and subject matter expertise to agency leaders, advocates, and community leaders.
