## Description

The DC Circuit Historical Society, founded in 1990, is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of the courts of the District of Columbia Circuit. As one of the 13 federal court circuits, the DC Circuit is comprised of the US District Court, a federal trial court, and the US Court of Appeals. The society operates independently from the courts and serves as a tax-exempt organization. Through various programs, exhibitions, and publications, the society offers valuable insights into the history of the courts, including oral histories, portrait galleries, and a timeline of significant events. They also provide articles, newsletters, and videos that inform the public about important court cases and legal developments. Recently, the society released a video of a program discussing the 2001 Microsoft antitrust case, an event that marked the first federal appellate court opinion on applying old economy antitrust rules to new technology markets. Join the DC Circuit Historical Society to explore and appreciate the fascinating legacy of the District of Columbia's courts.
