## Description

The Disease Control Priorities (DCP) project is a vital initiative established in 2010 and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Coordinated by the University of Washington from its inception until 2017, the project aims to enhance global and national health decision-making by promoting economic evaluations for effective priority setting. The DCP3 initiative published the comprehensive Disease Control Priorities, 3rd edition (DCP3), which serves as a key resource for health policymakers.

In 2018, the DCP3 Country Translation project was launched to address the specific needs of low- and middle-income countries in priority setting and health service development. This project, now hosted by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, collaborates with several pilot countries to develop and implement Universal Health Coverage (UHC) packages of health services. DCP3 focuses on various health domains, including essential surgery, maternal and child health, infectious diseases, and mental health, making it a cornerstone for evidence-based health interventions globally.
