## Description

Deal With Your Past is a personal family-history and genealogy blog by Lynda Chiotti, sharing practical guidance and reflections for people researching their ancestry. The site explores how to organize and strengthen family research, from reassessing existing records and improving source citations to developing a focused research process. Posts discuss genealogy tools and study programs, including a ProGen study group and Reunion software, as well as ways to keep long-running projects moving through a structured “go-over” rather than starting again.

The blog also considers how to make genealogy budgets go further, with ideas for combining travel, local research and conference attendance. It highlights events such as RootsTech and WDYTYA Live, and describes planning a UK family-history journey around Birmingham, ancestral places and visits with relatives. Alongside research advice, readers will find recommendations for learning resources, presentations and related genealogy blogs. Deal With Your Past offers informative, experience-based content for family historians at different stages, encouraging careful documentation, continued learning and meaningful exploration of family connections.
