## Description

The Digital Economy Council of Australia (DECA) is the premier advocacy group for blockchain and digital currency within the country, fostering innovation and growth since its inception in 2014. Originally established as the Australian Digital Currency Commerce Association, DECA serves as the vital link between merchants, industry stakeholders, government regulators, and financial institutions, driving policy development and education within the digital economy.

In 2019, DECA evolved through a merger with Blockchain Australia and was rebranded in 2024, further solidifying its role as a leader in the sector. DECA's dedicated team includes experts in policy, operations, and membership engagement, all committed to enhancing the digital currency landscape in Australia. The Council provides resources through the DECA Connect App, conducts Scam Awareness initiatives, and organizes events like Blockchain Week to connect industry players. DECA is dedicated to shaping a robust digital economy, ensuring member support, and promoting blockchain's transformative potential.
