## Description

De Creatieve STEM is a recognized STEM academy and a hub for creative making in Drongen, Belgium. It supports makers, thinkers, and hands-on learners by making digital fabrication, prototyping, and physical computing accessible to different audiences. Its program serves young people, adults, and schools through workshops, STEM academies, makers’ clubs, camps, and intensive training. Young participants can explore design and digital making techniques, while adults can use open labs independently or join workshops. For educators, the organization offers professional development, equipment loans, and workshops to help integrate STEM and STEAM into lessons. Its facilities include an Open Lab, a Textile Lab, and a Precious Plastic Lab. De Creatieve STEM also shares knowledge and infrastructure in support of the maker movement. Its projects and initiatives include MaakBib, FabZero, TexTerra, Trash to Treasure, STEM for the Climate, EASE, Spark, Girls in STEM, Digital Changeon, and FabAcademy. Through these activities, it encourages creativity, practical experimentation, and learning by making across age groups.
