## Description

Deen Figure Skating (DFS) is a figure skating club and foundation based at De Meent in Alkmaar, Netherlands. It welcomes skaters of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, offering a supportive environment focused on skill development, confidence, safety and enjoyment. Children can begin from age three, and beginners are welcome to learn at their own pace.

DFS provides introductory trial packages, Learn to Skate training for children and young people, recreational classes for adults, and more intensive coaching for competitive skaters. A show team offers opportunities for skaters interested in performances and demonstrations. Training can also include technical work on jumps, spins and footwork, choreography, off-ice conditioning, and ballet and dance. Patch Ice sessions give skaters time to practise independently or with a coach. The club also offers a summer camp with coaching and training packages.

Led by head coach Marcus Deen, a former six-time Dutch champion who has competed at European and World Championships, DFS supports both recreational participation and competitive ambitions.
