Deep Vellum is a nonprofit independent publishing house and literary arts center based in Dallas. With a mission to bring the world into conversation through literature, Deep Vellum serves as the heart and soul of the literary community in Dallas. Founded in 2013 by Will Evans, Deep Vellum publishes the best and most diverse literature from around the world, focusing on translated works as well as English-original books with a special emphasis on Dallas writers.

Deep Vellum offers a wide range of books including fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and photography. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Deep Vellum prioritizes books for publication based on their artistic and social value, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and promoting empathy. In addition to publishing, Deep Vellum hosts numerous literary events, providing a community space for all things literary.
