## Description

DEFCAD is the world's largest repository for small arms technical data, established by Defense Distributed in 2012. Our mission is to ensure that 2D and 3D firearms reference files and blueprints remain permanently available in the public domain, adhering to open source licensing standards. As a platform, we organize these collections and develop bibliographic standards to benefit the American rifleman and gunsmith community. One of our key offerings is providing the only legal means for accessing 3D firearms technical data on the Internet in the United States. Through ongoing lawsuits with the U.S. Department of State and state governments, we secure the rights to disclose American and International small arms technical data for the public. We prioritize privacy and security, partnering with Mandiant to guarantee a safe browsing experience. Our proactive approach to monitoring and defending against digital threats ensures that we have never experienced a security breach. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the world of 3D guns by subscribing to our monthly newsletter, where we curate lists of files directly to your inbox. At DEFCAD, we are committed to the open availability of firearms data while upholding legal and privacy standards.
