## Description

The Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MODVA) is a pivotal government department in Uganda, dedicated to safeguarding the nation's security and enhancing the welfare of military veterans. With a mission to formulate and implement comprehensive defense policies, MODVA coordinates military operations across the army, navy, and air force, ensuring they are well-prepared to confront external threats. In addition to defense responsibilities, the ministry is committed to honoring and supporting veterans by providing essential services such as medical care, rehabilitation, and financial assistance. This dual focus on national security and veteran affairs reflects MODVA's commitment to a holistic approach in serving those who have dedicated their lives to protecting the country.

The ministry also oversees various training institutions, including the National Defence College and military leadership academies, cultivating the next generation of military leaders. With a structured leadership framework, MODVA works to maintain the sovereignty and integrity of Uganda, ensuring both military readiness and veteran support for a stable future.
