## Description

The International Commission for the Hydrology of the Rhine basin (CHR) is a collaborative organization dedicated to the sustainable development and management of the Rhine River and its surrounding regions. Comprised of scientific institutes from various Rhine riparian states, CHR focuses on formulating and implementing joint hydrological measures that address both environmental concerns and resource management.

The CHR engages in a variety of projects aimed at understanding and mitigating the impacts of climate change on the Rhine basin, including studies on river discharge and the effects of snow and glacier melt. The organization also organizes workshops and seminars, such as the 'Runoff from Snow & Glacier Melt' workshop, which explores critical hydrological issues in the context of climate change.

With its commitment to scientific research, the CHR also publishes annual reports and findings to share knowledge and drive policy decisions across the region, bolstering cooperation among member states for the health of the Rhine basin.
