## Description

Dein Feed, Deine Wahl is a participatory citizen science research project led by Berlin’s Weizenbaum Institute. It investigates which political content TikTok delivers to different users and how the platform’s algorithm may shape political information and elections. Around the September 2026 state and Berlin parliamentary elections, the project collects and analyzes TikTok data voluntarily donated by participants. This helps researchers examine whether political posts appear disproportionately in users’ feeds. The project also invites public participation through a citizen science panel of 30 residents who help shape the research, alongside data donation days in Berlin, Rostock and Halle (Saale). Participants can receive a personal feed analysis comparing their TikTok use with that of other contributors, including a playful “TikTok animal sign.” The website publishes charts based on official party accounts and data gathered through TikTok’s Research API, noting that technical issues may make results incomplete. Visitors can follow updates through social media and email, and explore project methods, questions and answers, and media coverage.
