## Description

Del Mar Fairgrounds is a renowned brand that has been making lasting memories since 1936. As the 22nd District Agricultural Association, they manage and operate the fairgrounds on behalf of the State of California. Their primary source of funding comes from hosting events, with the annual San Diego County Fair being the largest of them all. Del Mar Fairgrounds is a community treasure that offers exceptional experiences throughout the year, emphasizing entertainment, recreation, agriculture, and education. Originally, the fairgrounds gathered San Diegans together in celebration of agriculture. The tradition began in 1880 when competitions were held to determine the best growers, bakers, and fastest horses in the region. Since then, the fair and the annual live thoroughbred horse races have become beloved summer traditions. Del Mar Fairgrounds hosts a variety of events across its three properties, including the 212-acre main campus, the Surf & Turf Recreational Facilities & RV Park, and the Del Mar Horsepark. In addition to these incredible events, Del Mar Fairgrounds is home to year-round recreational facilities and training centers for golf, tennis, volleyball, and swimming. They also provide RV camping at the Surf & Turf RV park and offer executive offices for the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. Moreover, Del Mar Fairgrounds is committed to giving back to the community through initiatives like the Don Diego Scholarship Foundation and the Fair's Care N' Share Program. With a mission to connect the community through shared interests and diverse experiences, Del Mar Fairgrounds continues to be a hub for social interaction and cultural expression. They celebrate traditions while embracing innovation, excellence, and most importantly, ensuring that everyone has a fun-filled and inclusive experience.
