## Description

De Maanwandelaars vzw is a nonprofit organisation in Antwerp that supports adults with intellectual disabilities, helping them take part in community life and pursue meaningful activities. Its approach puts each person at the centre and focuses on achieving more together. The organisation offers sustainable residential options, temporary stays in Mortsel, a broad programme of daytime support and directly accessible assistance for people without an individual support budget. It also provides supported work opportunities, including help with simple, repetitive tasks through its workshop, and outdoor activities at Den Buiten.

De Maanwandelaars also runs projects that connect people with nature and their neighbourhoods. At De Kiem, visitors can enjoy nature experiences and educational activities, while groups can book guided visits and participants can train as accessible-nature guides. In Boechout, De Satelliet brings together social initiatives, including a bicycle library, food point and lending service. Across its services and projects, De Maanwandelaars aims to create opportunities for participation, inclusion, learning and purposeful daily life.
