## Description

Demeter Associazione Italia is the Italian organization behind the Demeter quality mark for products made through biodynamic agriculture, an approach that traces its origins to Rudolf Steiner’s 1924 agricultural course. The association promotes farming that respects natural cycles and supports the development of certified biodynamic production. Its work covers standards and certification, with guidance, forms and procedures for farms seeking Demeter certification.

The organization explains biodynamic practices across areas such as soil care, biodynamic preparations, livestock, biodiversity, and research. It also provides information about food quality and the range of Demeter-certified products, including dairy, fruit and vegetables, honey and other bee products, meat, wine, eggs, and poultry. Its website features a directory of participating farms and businesses across Italy, alongside information about agritourism operators, training, news, and the wider Demeter international network. Through its certification, educational resources, and producer community, Demeter Italia connects consumers with products made under biodynamic standards and helps agricultural businesses understand the principles and requirements of the Demeter mark.
