## Description

DemocracyNet is an international, non-partisan, non-profit association of researchers focused on the study of democracy. Established in 2011, it brings together scholars from different disciplines and provides a structure for collaboration on research projects and initiatives that connect academic work with wider public discussion. The network shares information about its members, partners, activities, and opportunities to participate through its website.

Its activities include research workshops, academic events, public lectures, and transfer initiatives designed to make democracy research accessible beyond universities. Topics featured in its events and publications include liquid democracy, democratic innovations, referendums, political participation, and democracy studies. DemocracyNet also supports the exchange of ideas through meetings, roundtables, videos, and a podcast, while its online posts highlight calls for papers, publications, and upcoming activities. Researchers can explore the network’s work, follow its updates on social media, or join its mailing list. By fostering interdisciplinary cooperation and dialogue between researchers and the public, DemocracyNet helps create opportunities to study and discuss democracy.
