## Description

EQAR, the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education, plays a vital role in promoting and ensuring quality assurance across higher education in Europe. The organization maintains a comprehensive register of agencies that are recognized for their effectiveness in external quality assurance. In addition to the register, EQAR offers various services, including guidelines for agencies, assistance with applications for registration, and support for the renewal of accreditation.

Their focus extends to a range of initiatives, such as the European Tertiary Education Register (ETER) and integration projects like ENIC-NARIC, aiming to enhance transparency and recognition in higher education. EQAR promotes best practices through targeted reviews and the Database of External QA Results (DEQAR), facilitating a culture of continuous improvement.

By engaging with member agencies and participating in cross-border quality assurance activities, EQAR fosters collaboration and consistent standards across Europe’s diverse educational landscape. With a commitment to innovation and quality, EQAR strives to strengthen trust in higher education systems throughout the region.
